A bit about Anya…

Born in Canada, Anya Orzechowska spent most of her life in Montreal before moving on to various other locations, including Dubai (U.A.E.) and Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Toronto (Canada), Rochester (NY, USA) and - now - Paris, (France). These frequent trips abroad and different established home bases have given her an opportunity to explore new places and to meet interesting people from many different cultures in North America, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, South America and the Far East.
With most of her earlier professional life devoted to writing and editing, Anya’s extensive travels have inspired her to capture the flavours of some of those places and cultures in her paintings. She currently has two studios, one in Toronto (Canada) and the other in Paris (France).
Anya is a member of the Arts & Letters Club of Canada as well as the International Portrait Society. She has exhibited in the historic Great Hall of the A&L Club, the Gallery of Light in (Dubai, U.A.E.), Art Etc. (Montreal), ArtWalk (Westmount), Art Square Gallery (Toronto), the Heliconian Club (Toronto) and the Women’s Art Association of Canada (Toronto), as well as giving private lessons and accepting commissions.
